Does it need Wi-Fi or an account?
No. Neither. There's no app, no sign-up, no firmware update nagging you, and nothing leaves the device.
Charge it, switch it on, and it works. That's also why it's fine on a plane, in a car or anywhere with no signal.
How long does the battery really last?
Up to 10 hours on a full charge, and back to full in under 2 hours over USB-C.
"Up to" is doing real work there: screen brightness and what you're running both change it. At full brightness expect less; at a comfortable indoor level most people get close to the stated figure.
What goes on the memory card?
That's up to you. The card slides out, goes into any computer with a card reader, and you copy files across like a USB stick. Swap it for a bigger card whenever you want.

Worth saying plainly: copying games you don't own is illegal in the EU, the UK and most other places. We don't supply copyrighted titles and we can't advise on obtaining them. What you put on your own card is your responsibility.
How big is it, really?
Pocket-sized — a coat pocket, a handbag or a glovebox, without a case. Light enough that you stop noticing it's there.
It isn't a tablet and the screen isn't a TV. That's the trade: it goes everywhere, and it's comfortable to hold for an hour.
Is it suitable as a gift for a child?
Ages 12 and up. It has a small removable memory card and a built-in lithium battery, so it isn't a toy for young children and shouldn't be given to one.
For a teenager or an adult, it's one of the easier gifts to get right — nothing to set up, nothing to subscribe to, and it works out of the box.
What's covered by the warranty?
One year from delivery, for the original buyer, in normal household use. We repair or replace a manufacturing fault at no cost.
Covered: buttons that fail, a unit that won't charge or power on, a screen fault, a faulty card from the box
Not covered: drops and impact damage, liquid damage, normal battery capacity loss over time, damage from a non-standard charger, or anything caused by opening the unit
Don't open it — there's a sealed lithium battery inside, and opening it voids the warranty.
What if I just don't like it?
30 days from delivery to send it back, unused and in its original packaging, with approval from us first.

If you're in the EU or UK you also have your statutory right to withdraw within 14 days of delivery, which sits alongside this and isn't replaced by it.
When will it arrive?
Dispatched in 1–3 business days, delivered 4–9 business days after that, with a tracking number by email.
